If you have made it to this point, completing your work as set out, week by week, then : Congratulations ! You have covered everything you should have learnt by this point. Very well done. It is now important that you continue to remind yourself of the vocab, the phrases and the grammar which you have learnt this year. The booklet will help you do this. So: over the course of the next two months please complete the booklet at your own pace, and focus especially on the vocabulary pages. Keep going over the vocab from each topic, so that you remember it when we come back in September. Remember : vocab cards, with German on one side and English on the other, are a great idea.
It would be fantastic if you take part in a little project which we do every few years - YOU are the year who gets to do it : We would like you to design your own t shirt. This can be done by drawing and writing on a real, old, unused t shirt, or simply on paper, or using Paint 3D on the computer. All we ask is that the writing is in German, and relates to one area of learning this year. So, you could write “ I have a cat” in German, and feature a picture of your cat on the t shirt, or tell us about your birthday, and include a birthday cake, or “ I come from…” & a country and feature a flag. Just take a look at everything you have learnt, make your choice, select your picture ( if you want to include one!) and then design your German t shirt ! Bring it in in September - either the paper version or the real thing !
